It's a lovely day at Whitepoint!

It sure was a lovely day at Whitepoint Beach Resort. Gary and I had a mini getaway on Sunday/Monday to attend a tourism conference. Sunday was a beautiful, sunny day and we enjoyed roaming around the property taking picutures and feeding the many bunnies. Is was so calm and warm Sunday evening that we took a stroll along the beach listening to the waves crash on the shore - how romantic! We had a great time and then woke up to snow on Monday. Oh, the conference was O.K. too! (I guess you can tell our focus was more on the getaway then the conference!)

Gary getting ready for another game of pool - yes, believe it or not, I won the first game! Of course, Gary would line me up for the shots and tell me what to do and then I would get lucky and the ball would actually go in the pocket - much to my surprise!

Some of the cottages at Whitepoint. Look closely and you can see some bunnies!

Yes Kita, more bunnies! Where do bunny lovers go for a mini getaway (and tourism conference)? Yep - to a place where they have bunnies. Whitepoint Beach Resort has tons of bunnies. At one time we were surronded by 22 bunnies simply by shaking a bag! Unfortunately the picture of the 22 didn't come out, so you'll have to take my word for that.

I'm feeding a couple of Kita's old back door friends - Rosie (right) and Kegie (left). See Kaeden, I think your picture looks like Rosie!

Some hungry bunnies making sure they don't miss out on their breakfast - they love bread and rolls!

Gary doing his morning chores - feeding the bunnies, ducks, and goats. He gets alot of produce from the Save Easy in Annapolis.

Callie and Levi (our newly purchased Dwarf Lop eared bunny) getting to know each other. Levi was temporarily housed in our downstairs shower stall!

Our newest kitty, Callie, enjoying the warm sun on her leash. She's finally getting the hang of being on a leash.

Jason heading back to Halifax yesterday, just as the snow was starting.

Finally I'm getting some pictures on our blog!

What a difference a few days make. Picture on the top was last Saturday, and the next picture was 2 days later! What a crazy winter!

launch of the Mailman Family blog

My husband Gary and I have been married for 16 years and have 2 kids. Jason is 24 and lives and works in Halifax and Brenton is 15 and in grade 9. We own a cottage rental business in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. We have 2 cats, 2 pygmy goats, 9 ducks, and numerous rabbits - approximately 15 at this point in time. We enjoy our quiet, rural life and enjoy running our own business.
