Margaret's laundromat!

Need any laundry done anyone? Last week I got my second large washer - now I have 2 washers and 1 dryer - all very water and energy efficient. Fewer buckets of water to haul for some people! Kerry, one of my cleaners, says that my laundry room looks like a laundromat! Apparently I can wash 16 pairs of jeans in each washer - hopefully I'll never have to try that one out.

oooooh! those are pretty fancy.. you sure you don't want to buy me one?

when our washer broke, we didn't have the $$ to replace it with a front-loading, energy and water effecient one :( perhaps that was because our stove and car also completely died that week?!?! ack!

Ohhh, Margaret, I have singing the praises of the front load washer for about 6 years now. When our top loader died after 15 years of service, a salesman accquaintance of ours at Leons sold us on the benefits of the front load washer. We paid for the higher initial price in the first year !

Thanks again for the positive comments on my garden. I responded first on your cherry blossum page, or was it my page? You probably don't check there after a while. Oh, well...Any way, the gist of the comment was I would trade you a bunny or two for a pound of slugs! Bunnies are cuter to look at!

Michelle, those washers sure are pricey - this last one was $1700 - but when you do an average of about 20+ sheets a day (+ pillow cases, bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, etc. etc) we really need to watch the water we're using and also the water we're sending out to our septic system. So these pricey babies are a must! At least as a business, we get our tax back!
